Q.  Do you charge for consultations?

 

A. Typically, all your questions can be answered over the phone, and we do not charge for telephone call inquiries.

 

Q. How do I obtain the forms I will need?

 

A. Most forms can be downloaded online and/or you can pick up what you require at any Court Office within your area.

 


Q. How do I get the information to your office?

 

A. AT YOUR SERVICE provides free pick-up and delivery of all documents.

 

Q. How many times do you attempt to locate a person in order to serve them?

 

A. Typically, 3-4 attempts are included in our standard fee, dependent on the rate.

 

Q. Do you charge for mileage?

 

A. No.

 

Q. What exactly is an Affidavit of Service?

 

A. An Affidavit of Service is a sworn, legal document outlining the date, time, location and method a particular person and/or company was served. This document must be filed with the Court to substantiate service of process and is included in our standard fee.

A. No. 


Q. What exactly is a Process Server?


A. A Process Server serves legal documents to an individual involved in a court case. The Process Server must serve the documents in accordance to the legislation in the area of service. Once the legal documents are served, the Process Server must provide proof that the documents were delivered. This is called an Affidavit of Service which must be notarized by a Commissioner of Oaths/Notary Public and given to the party who requested service. In addition, Process Servers provide a multitude of other services in conjunction with the aforementioned, including but not limited to, filing your papers with the courts, Licence searches, title searches, people locates, etc.


Q. Can someone who is not a Process Server deliver documents?

 

A. Yes, however, they must be familiar with the legislation in the area for serving documents, must have the time and expertise to carry out the task, and will require a Commissioner of Oaths and/or Notary Public to notarize an Affidavit of Service to be filed with the court.
